Yukon Solitaire: how a round works
Choose a round of Yukon Solitaire and settle into its rules. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.
One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.
Try a more deliberate round
Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart. Keep the objective visible.
The objective of a round
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. The example below illustrates a decision.
Follow these playing steps
- Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
How your actions work
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Read a button’s label before selecting it. A new-round button replaces the current round.
An example to follow
A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Keep the game’s format in mind.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Compare the situation with the worked example. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
