Bubble Shooter: instructions and practice

Choose a round of Bubble Shooter and settle into its rules. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

A small practice goal

Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention. Keep the objective visible.

Aim for this result

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Keep the controls in easy reach.

The playing sequence

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Choosing and moving on screen

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

See the idea in action

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Notice the change in the playing area.

Watch out for this

Contact with a different colour is not a match. Compare the situation with the worked example. Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow.
